Everyone has a chance to save our Mother Earth; no
matter how small the action is.
Kamandalu Resort and Spa expresses its environmental
awareness with concrete deeds hand-in-hand with in-house
guests on this year’s Earth Day.
Rare tropical baby trees e.g. Punica Granatum were
planted around the resort area, ready to sprout their
roots and branches for the next generations.
Given the privilege of having private terraced rice
paddies inside the resort area, we asked our guests
to participate in harvesting the rice paddies. The
guests got right down into the rice paddies and got
their hands on. Maintaining rice paddies helps preserving
ground water and water stock. Kamandalu’s rice paddies
do not use fertilizers; they grow naturally with the
help of the dried-out hay purposely left on the soil’s
surface after harvest time...our small action in reducing
climate change.
Happy Earth Day!
