On 30th June this year, Balinese celebrated Tumpak Landep. It is the day to give offering to things that are made of metals that are used to support people’s daily life. We, at Kamandalu, celebrated this religious ceremony at our new temple and invited our guests to experience this Balinese rituals first-hand. |

Ngaben Massal |

Ngaben is the unique Balinese cremation ritual to release the soul of the dead to his afterlife before his next reincarnation. As Ngaben is a complicated, often times, costly ritual, a village would have a mass cremation to facilitate the families of the deceased. On 16th and 28th July 2012, in Sukawati and Ubud respectively, they held mass Balinese Cremation ceremonies. Many tourists from all walk of life eagerly watched this unique Balinese cremation. |

In June 2012, Mr. William Wongso, a traditional Indonesian cuisine ambassador, visited Kamandalu Ubud. He not only enjoyed his stay at our enchanting Balinese village, but Mr. Wongso also did a cooking demonstration of several unique Indonesian dishes. The master of culinary created interesting and delicious dishes that certainly entertained our palates and will be remembered |
